Please Read Before Completing Order

At Velvet Monáy, every order is handcrafted with care, creativity, and attention to detail. To ensure the best experience for all clients, please review the policies below before submitting your order inquiry.

ORDERING POLICY

All orders must be placed in advance and are subject to availability. Because each dessert is custom designed and prepared specifically for your event, we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your desired date.

  • Custom cakes and specialty orders typically require a minimum of 2 weeks notice.

  • Large events may require additional notice.

  • Last-minute orders may be accepted based on availability and may incur a rush fee.

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee your order date until a retainer has been received and confirmed.

PAYMENT POLICY

A non-refundable retainer is required to secure all orders and event dates.

  • Orders under $150 require full payment at booking.

  • Larger custom orders require a retainer with the remaining balance due 2 days prior to pickup or delivery.

  • Final payments must be completed by the invoice due date.

  • Failure to submit final payment may result in order cancellation.

Accepted payment methods will be listed on your invoice.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to the custom nature of our products, all retainers and payments are non-refundable.

  • Date changes are subject to availability.

  • In the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstance, we will make every effort to accommodate reasonable rescheduling requests.

DESIGN & CUSTOMIZATION POLICY

Every Velvet Monáy order is uniquely designed and handcrafted.

  • Inspiration photos are welcomed and used as creative references only.

  • Exact replicas of another artist’s work will not be duplicated.

  • Artistic freedom may be used to ensure the best final design and overall aesthetic.

  • Colors, décor elements, and minor design details may vary slightly due to availability and the handmade nature of our products.

PICKUP POLICY

Clients are responsible for ensuring desserts are transported safely after pickup.

  • Pickup times must be scheduled in advance.

  • Once an order has been picked up and accepted, Velvet Monáy is no longer responsible for damage caused during transport, setup, or storage.

We recommend placing cakes and desserts on a flat, cool surface during transportation.

DELIVERY POLICY

Delivery and setup services are available for select orders and events.

  • Delivery fees vary based on location and event size.

  • Someone must be available to accept delivery at the agreed time.

  • Velvet Monáy is not responsible for conditions after setup is completed, including weather, venue conditions, or guest interference.

ALLERGY POLICY

Velvet Monáy products are made in a home kitchen environment where common allergens may be present.

Products may contain or come into contact with:

  • Dairy

  • Eggs

  • Wheat

  • Soy

  • Peanuts

  • Tree nuts

While we take precautions when possible, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Clients are responsible for informing guests of potential allergens.

WEATHER POLICY

Certain desserts and decorative elements are sensitive to heat, humidity, and outdoor conditions.

  • Buttercream, chocolate, and specialty décor may be affected by warm temperatures.

  • Outdoor setups should be placed in shaded or climate-controlled areas whenever possible.

  • Velvet Monáy is not responsible for weather-related damage after delivery or setup.

PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

Velvet Monáy reserves the right to photograph desserts and setups for portfolio, website, and social media use unless otherwise requested in writing by the client.

SERVING & STORAGE POLICY

To maintain quality and freshness:

  • Cakes should remain refrigerated until recommended serving time.

  • Dessert shooters and chocolate-covered treats should be stored in cool conditions.

  • Leftovers should be refrigerated promptly.

Detailed care instructions may be provided based on your order type.

EVENT SETUP POLICY

For dessert table services:

  • Setup access times must be coordinated in advance.

  • Clients are responsible for obtaining any required venue permissions.

  • Rental items, stands, and décor pieces provided by Velvet Monáy must be returned in original condition unless otherwise stated.

Damaged or missing rental items may incur replacement fees.

COMMUNICATION POLICY

We strive to respond to all inquiries within 2 business days.

Please allow additional response time during holidays, weekends, and peak event seasons.

All official order details, pricing, and confirmations must be communicated through approved business channels to ensure accuracy.
